6th District residents invited to legislative town hall meeting with Baumgartner, Parker and Holy
People who want to meet and ask questions of their state lawmakers will have the opportunity Saturday, March 16 at a town hall meeting in Spokane. Sen. Michael Baumgartner and Reps. Kevin Parker and Jeff Holy will be available to provide an update of the 2013 session and answer questions from the people they represent. “There’s nothing I like more than making sure folks know what’s happening in their state Legislature,” said Baumgartner, R-Spokane. “It’s been a really active, really interesting session so far, and I’m looking forward to sharing our progress with friends and neighbors back home.” The event will be held at Lincoln Heights Elementary, 3322 East 22nd Avenue, Spokane starting at 10 a.m. “Throughout my five years in office, I’ve held many town halls in the district and find them to be the best way to connect with people,” said Parker, R-Spokane. “I hope to see many Sixth District constituents this weekend.” “As a new lawmaker, it is crucial for me to make myself available for constituents and hear from them, as their opinion is the most important to me,” said Holy, R-Cheney. “I look forward to taking this break from my time in Olympia to be back home and meet with the people I serve.” All of the lawmakers regularly send e-mail updates to constituents who sign up on their Web sites at: www.senatorbaumgartner.com houserepublicans.wa.gov/parker houserepublicans.wa.gov/holy
No RSVP is required to attend the town hall meeting. The 105-day session is scheduled to end April 28.
