Rep. Kevin Parker to hold telephone and traditional town hall meetings next week

6th District lawmaker offers alternatives for constituents to share their views, receive updates on legislative session

Rep. Kevin Parker will hold two town hall meetings next week. The 6th District lawmaker will host a telephone town hall meeting on the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 15, and a quarterly, traditional town hall meeting on Saturday, Feb. 18. He is hoping constituents will be able to join one or both events.

The telephone town hall meeting on Feb. 15, which is like a call-in radio show, will run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. To participate, constituents can call 1-877-229-8493 and enter code 15438. Once connected, they can ask questions by pressing *3 (star 3) on their telephone keypads.

Parker will hold quarterly, traditional town hall meetings throughout the year. The Feb. 18 event will be held in the multipurpose room at Ridgeview Elementary School located at 5610 North Maple Street in Spokane. It will run from 11:00 a.m. to noon, with doors opening at 10:30 a.m.

“We are at a critical juncture in the legislative session. I'm looking forward to sharing updates with constituents and learning more about how they feel on the issues affecting our communities,” said Parker, R-Spokane. “I'm hoping these events are convenient for people and I encourage everyone to join in.”

If constituents have questions before the events, they can contact Parker at (360) 786-7922 or kevin.parker@leg.wa.gov.

The 60-day legislative session is scheduled to adjourn March 8.
