Parker invites constituents to telephone town hall meeting February 15

6th District lawmaker will take questions, provide updates on legislative session
Rep. Kevin Parker will host a telephone town hall meeting on Wednesday, February 15, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The 6th District lawmaker will take questions from constituents and provide updates on the legislative session.
The event is like a call-in radio show. To participate, constituents can call 1-877-229-8493 and enter code 15438. Once connected, they can ask questions by pressing *3 (star 3) on their telephone keypads.
“While I prefer traditional town hall meetings, this is a convenient way to connect with constituents while I am in Olympia. It is also an alternative for folks who might have trouble leaving their homes for extended periods of time,” said Parker, R-Spokane. “I remain convinced of the value of listening to constituents and encourage everyone to participate at whatever level they are comfortable with.”
Parker plans to hold quarterly traditional town hall meetings throughout the year. His first event of 2012 will be Saturday, February 18. Details will be provided at a later date.
Questions or comments can be directed to Parker at (360) 786-7922 or kevin.parker@leg.wa.gov.
The 2012 legislative session is scheduled to adjourn March 8.
