Rep. Kevin Parker to hold separate, education-specific town hall meeting this Saturday

6th District lawmaker will host three constituent outreach events this week
In what has become an annual meeting, Rep. Kevin Parker will be holding an education-specific town hall Saturday, March 12. The event will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Northwood Middle School’s library located at 13120 N. Pittsburg Street in Spokane. The 6th District lawmaker has invited local teachers and school administrators, and encourages the public to attend.
Parker will be holding another town hall meeting on the same day, March 12, with his seatmates Rep. John Ahern and Sen. Michael Baumgartner. The event will also be held at Northwood Middle School, but in the gymnasium, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Parker will also be hosting a telephone town hall meeting this evening (March 8). The community conversation, which is like a call-in talk radio show, will run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Participants can join in by calling 1-877-229-8493 and entering code 15438.
“With so many important decisions before state lawmakers in the next month and a half, I want to hear directly from the people I represent and share my views on issues facing our communities. This will be valuable information for me as we hit the homestretch of the legislative decision,” said Parker, R-Spokane. “I’m hoping that folks can participate in one or more of the events. I encourage people to contact me if they have any questions.”
No RSVP is necessary for any of the three events. If constituents have questions, they can contact Parker at (360) 786-7922 or kevin.parker@leg.wa.gov.
