Parker elected assistant floor leader for House Republicans

 

House Republicans today chose Rep. Kevin Parker, R-Spokane, to serve on the leadership team as the assistant floor leader for the 2011 session.

portrait The 6th District state representative said he was excited to serve in this new role, assisting the floor leader with organizing and overseeing strategy during legislative debate. The newly elected floor leader is Rep. Charles Ross, R-Naches. Rep. Matt Shea, R-Spokane Valley, will also serve as an assistant floor leader.

“I'm thrilled to be part of the leadership team and to help facilitate civilized and persuasive debates on the issues we face as a state,” Parker said. “This is a unique opportunity to continue working across the aisle and standing up for my constituents in the Legislature.”
