Sixth District lawmakers plan Spokane town hall meeting

Reps. Kevin Parker and John Ahern will be hosting a town hall meeting in Spokane Saturday, March 12. They invite constituents to attend with their questions, concerns or comments about issues facing the state. Sen. Michael Baumgartner, R-Spokane, will also join his seatmates and provide updates on the legislative session.

The town hall meeting will be held:

Saturday, March 12
10:30 a.m. to noon
Northwood Middle School gymnasium
13120 N. Pittsburg Street, Spokane

“Working with those I represent is the most important part of my job as a state lawmaker. As the Legislature considers major decisions that will affect the economy, state budget and education, I want to hear from constituents and also share my views,” said Parker, R-Spokane. “I encourage people to attend and participate at any level they are comfortable with. If anyone has any questions beforehand, they can contact me directly.”

“I’m looking forward to talking with constituents and giving them an update on the legislative session,” said Ahern, R-Spokane. “I always appreciate hearing the ideas that come from the people. I hope we will have a great turnout and a productive discussion about the issues that matter most to the people we represent.”

No RSVP is necessary. If constituents have questions before the event, they can contact Parker at (360) 786-7922 or Ahern can be contacted at (360) 786-7962 or
